One of the most exhilarating and physically demanding hunts in the Lower 48, our Mountain Lion hunts take place November – December, utilizing professional hounds and houndsmen to tree your trophy lion. We take no more than one hunter at a time (groups can be worked out with enough lead time) to increase chances of success. Our area offers reduced rate Mountain Lion tags ($41.75) because of the dense population.
Successful Mountain lion hunting requires use of 4×4 vehicles, tracked ATVs or Side-by-Sides, and most likely snowmobiles until we find a fresh track. Once a fresh track is identified, hounds are released to bay or tree the cat before pursuit into the rugged backcountry for the kill. Snowshoes may be required dependent on snow depth.
